Drop shipping is essentially a business where you are a reseller of the products. But you don’t necessarily manufacture, store, retail, ship the products. Of course the wholesale companies would love to get into business with you cause they get to save on marketing and sales charges. Since this part is handled by you. Does search engine optimization work? This is a question every new comer in the SEO business asks themselves. In order to understand and answer this question to the fullest, the first thing you need to look at are the basic fundamentals of search engine optimization. Basically search engine optimization are the many strategies that are used by SEO marketers to get their websites listed among the top ten sites each time a searcher types in keywords that are related to their industry.

Why do they struggle to get their pages listed among the top ten? It has been realized that searchers never worry about looking for sites rather than those on the first page which is the top ten, as you probably know, getting more visitors means high possibility of getting sells and profits which is why every SEO marketer is fighting to get his or her site listed on the top ten. Well first of all you are going to need an information source, and as I have already mentioned plenty of times, I got my information and I learned from both Wealthy Affiliate and Worldwide Brands for internet marketing and drop shipping respectively.  So obviously you are going to need a source of information like Wealthy Affiliate and Worldwide Brands (once you get to the drop shipping part – if you decide to go the drop shipping route also).

Now once you login to Wealthy Affiliate where should you start?  Well the first place that you want to start is with the Wealthy Affiliate Action Plan.  This is an action plan that has really evolved over the years.  It started as a 6 week action plan when I first started there in 2006 or so.  It then went to an 8 week action plan for a little while, where they added tons of great information.  Now it is a 13 lesson action plan, and they have broadened the information once again, making it even better then when it was when I learned internet marketing.

So if I can learn this business from their 6 week action plan, then you can surely learn this business from their upgraded 13 lesson, 13 week action plan.  They have all of the same information they did when I started, except that they have just added a ton of new information on so that the information is just deeper and easier to learn.  That is surely the area you want to start with Wealthy Affiliate.

It will really teach you everything that you need to know in order to get your internet marketing business started.  Once you finish the 13 lesson action plan, probably even before you finish the 13 week action plan, you could already be making a decent amount of money online if you are just following Kyle and Carson’s lead, taking in what they are teaching, taking notes, and actually executing the game plan(s) they give you.

They teach you everything from keywords, to keyword research, to writing articles, to article marketing, to email marketing, to pay per click marketing, to forum marketing, to copy writing, to search engine optimization, to social networking, to social marketing, to landing pages, to squeeze pages, to building websites, to templates and turnkey feeder sites, to niche marketing, to niche research, and introduction to tools that make all of these things and many more areas easier to conquer.

I understand that some of you are already through that stage and already may know a lot of this information (but of course not experts because we are never experts in this business, there is always more to learn and room to improve).  So if you are looking for where to start in drop shipping I will get to that too.

Of course as I have also mentioned many times, if you are starting in drop shipping, or really wherever you are in drop shipping (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) Worldwide Brands is a great place to learn drop shipping and find out how to properly research and pick drop shipping products and drop shipping suppliers.

Starting in internet marketing and drop shipping is probably the hardest part because sometimes it can be so overwhelming that you do not know where to start or what to do.  I think the best thing to do is to join somewhere like Wealthy Affiliate and Worldwide Brands so that you can properly learn how these businesses work and how to succeed in each of the businesses.

I recommend that you only join one at a time, particularly you want to start with Wealthy Affiliate because they teach general internet marketing, and internet marketing is needed in order to succeed with drop shipping. Let me explain a little bit what internet marketing is about so you have a better understanding of how internet marketing correlates with drop shipping.

A part of internet marketing is called search engine optimization, which is when you do certain things to your website to make sure your site is showing in the search engines (such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN) for the specific keywords that you set your website to show in the search engines for.

So if you are making a site on a Wealthy Affiliate Review or a Worldwide Brands Review…Then you would want to get your website ranked for keywords such as “Wealthy Affiliate Review”, “Wealthy Affiliate”, “Worldwide Brands Review”, and “Worldwide Brands”.  You would normally have a few more, but for the sake of example I will keep it short here.

And this is mainly how internet marketing correlates with drop shipping.  You pick a certain drop shipping niche such as hot tubs, then you would build your website on hot tubs.  You would find your hot tub drop shipping supplier and hot tub drop shipping products and put them on your website.  You would then use search engine optimization to get your website to rank for certain keywords that have to do with the “hot tubs” keyword.

And another part of internet marketing that correlates with drop shipping is Pay Per Click marketing.  This is when you place ads in a search engine such as Google, and you pay for each click that you get.

So going back to the Wealthy Affiliate Review and Worldwide Brands Review sites example, you would place ads in the search engines for these specific keywords to get traffic to your site.

And for the hot tubs example you would do the same.  You would sign up for your advertising account and then start placing your ads on whatever keywords you choose.  Your ads will show when anyone types in a keyword that you want your ads to show for, and if they click on your ad then you will pay for that click, and get the visitor.  If the visitor makes a purchase, you of course make a certain amount of commission from that purchase.

And this is how internet marketing correlates with drop shipping.  So it would be kind of pointless to learn drop shipping before you learn internet marketing, because you wouldn’t be aware of how to properly build a website and get traffic to the website.  You can build awesome looking websites all day long, but if you don’t know how to get any traffic to them you are never going to make any money.
